Solent break into USA market

We are pleased to announce the first of our SSH05 Haulers now on order to Rhode Island USA! Lucy has been working with our USA client over the past weeks and he has decided based on the feedback and features of the SSH05 this is the unit for him over competitor products!

 

Solent Smash Bournemouth Skipper Expo

Thanks to all that came to see us at Skipper expo.

We had a fantastic show with a great volume of sales, 7 new hauler orders, 5 slave haulers and numerous other sales from potting blocks,powerpacks and various hydraulic componants.

Lovely to stand above and look over the arena viewing all the vessels with so much Solent gear aboard them, from Stainless tube work, haulers gunwhale rollers etc. Vessels featuring our gear were the 10m Cougar Catamaran from Audacious Marine, 6.2m twin seas catamaran from Maver Boats and the high speed aluminium netter from Robust Boats.

Solent are also happy to leave the show with new trading partnerships formed with both G Smyth Boats and Cygnus Boats.

SSH05 Launch

Solent Engineering have now officially launched the new SSH05 Self Hauling Net Hauler,

This awesome piece of kit benefits from 4 powered rollers, hydraulic tilt, LED Lighting, 600mm wide chassis, 750kg pull and forward fairled rollers. keep an eye on our site for more photos and videos to follow!

Further expansion to aid Skippers!

Since moving to our new premises we can only thank all of our Uk skippers in investing in our successful range of products which pushed our previous equipment to the max! From where we were last year we have now had to expand into unit 2 and take on 2 new engineers in order to keep the UK, Scotland and Ireland fleet provided with the nessesary equipment to work in the harshest of conditions imaginable. Solent Engineering also has now installed a state of the art 'High Definition CNC plasma profiling Centre' provided by the world leader in cnc plasma profiling experts "Esprit Automation" We are proud to now cut all our products using the 'Esprit Lightning HD' plasma profiling centre powered by the market leading powersource 'Hypertherm 3070HD' we now have the ability to take orders from Skippers and through Lucy's order management work lists are fed directly to the Machine and nested  to sheet before welders know it is to arrive on their bench.. with a glass like edge finish and no heavy edge cleanup required units are out to skippers in a third of the time we previously had offered. feel free to drop in for a coffee and see our machine in action!

New Manufacturing Plant

We have now Completed the move into our new workshop! previously we were situated on the East Beach in Selsey Bill but with ever increasing orders and the need for more machinery and space we have now moved to a larger unit based near chichester harbour marinas. the new facility now gives us a purpose fitted out room for our plasma profiler with fume extraction and Nitrogen store. also the sales office has now moved to a new office onsite to be closer to the business with a new goods out dispatch and packing area. Our reception area allows customers to visit and sit and have a cuppa whilst items are built or repaired and looks out over the large shop floor. Being close to Itchenor harbour and Birdham Pool Marina we are now ideal for Vessel Repairs and alterations.

SES Joins the RFS group of recomended suppliers

Further to a visit from a RFS representative, we are pleased to now have joined the Resonsible Fishing Scheme as a recognised and supported supplier of Fishing Equipment. We offer a 10% discount on all our products to members of the scheme.
